On August 14, 2021, after the end of work of the Synod of the Chaldean Church, which was held in Iraq from August 9 to 15, His Beatitude Patriarch Louis Raphael Sako, Patriarch of the Chaldeans, accompanied by the bishops of the Chaldean Church, visited the Iraqi President Dr. Barham Saleh at the Peace Palace in Baghdad. The primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, Bishop Michel Kassarji, concluded his visit to Iraq, returning to Lebanon.
