On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, Reverend Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, accompanied by Reverend Father Youssef Khaled, Messrs. Imad Shamoun and Charbel Al-Shami, visited the Chaldean families affected by the catastrophic explosion that destroyed a large part of the city of Beirut, in Achrafieh, Karm El Zaytoun, Mar Mikhail and Gemmayze. They also checked on the persons injured by the blast in several hospitals.
During this inspection visit to the damaged houses, they conducted detailed surveys of the destructions, so the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, can offer subsidies for the reconstructions, through the Chaldean Charity Association.
The Chaldean Church in Lebanon asks God that this great ordeal be the end of Lebanon’s recurring woes, praying for those who died in the blast and wishing quick recovery for the sick and the wounded.
