On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, General Vicar of the Chaldean Diocese of Beirut, participated in the meeting of the “Crisis Follow-up Committee”, emanating from the Assembly of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Lebanon and headed by his eminence Bishop Youssef Soueif, that took place at the Holy Spirit University – Kaslik.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Pontifical Ambassador, H.E Bishop Joseph Spiteri, and H.E Bishop Cesar Essayan, the General Superiors of the Lebanese Maronite Order, Abbot Nematallah Al-Hashem, and of the Basilian Salvatorian Order, Archimandrite Antoine Dib, in addition to the Superior of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family and other representatives of churches, Fathers Michel Abboud, President of Caritas Lebanon, Boutros Azar and Michel Boutaqa as well as M. Michel Constantine and the charge d’affaires of the Pontifical Embassy in Lebanon.

The meeting discussed the Church of Lebanon’s needs in In light of the current economic, social and health crisis, following the encouragement of Pope Francis to stand by the Church in Lebanon in order to overcome this ordeal and continue its educational and social mission.
