The Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, Bishop Michel Kassarji, participated in a meeting that took place at the Maronite Patriarchal See of Bkerke, in the presence of the Eastern Catholic Patriarchs. During the meeting, a new Secretary General of the Catholic Schools in Lebanon was elected, and ecclesiastical and national affairs were studied.
Another meeting was also held with the patriarchs and heads of the Orthodox Churches to discuss the reasons for the invitation of His Holiness Pope Francis to the Christian spiritual leaders of Lebanon to meet in Rome on the first of July to discuss the Lebanese crisis.
