On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, a delegation of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon headed by Bishop Michel Kassarji, with the participation of Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, M. Antoine Hakim, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Chaldean Community in Lebanon, deacons Joseph Isho and Raphael Koupaly and Messrs. Narsaï Hakim and Michel Hallak, accompanied by the media official of the Diocese Miss Mira Kassarji, paid a visit to the Maronite Patriarch, His Beatitude Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi at the Maronite Patriarchal See in Bkerke.
The discussion dealt with the Pope’s recent visit to Iraq, its positive consequences, its distinct impact in the East and the region, and its good repercussions on the situation in Lebanon. His Excellency also presented to His Beatitude the Patriarch a copy of the statement of the Chaldean Supreme Council in Lebanon, which praised the positions of the Maronite Patriarchate, especially in terms of positive neutrality of Lebanon and its political and economic interests.
