On Thursday, April 6, 2023, the Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, Bishop Michel Kassarji, celebrated the Sacramental Thursday at the Cathedral of the Angel Raphael in Baabda, Brazil, assisted by Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi and in the presence of a crowd of believers.
During the Mass, Bishop Kassarji and Monsignor Traboulsi washed the feet of 12 children in an annual tradition during which the faithful recall the commemoration of the Last Supper of Christ where Jesus washed and kissed the feet of his twelve disciples.
Bishop Kassarji gave a homily on the occasion in which he spoke about the order of washing and the establishment of the Eucharist and the priesthood.
