His Excellency Bishop Michel Kassarji, Primate of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon, participated in the comprehensive meeting called by the Congregation for the Oriental Churches, in Cyprus, to discuss the evaluation of the period following the delivery of Pope Benedict XVI to his Apostolic Exhortation “The Church in the Middle East”.
The participants, including patriarchs and superiors, priests and, laity active in the ecclesiastical field, evaluated the most prominent of what was applied at this level, and the two conferences issued a number of important recommendations … This is done in a regional and local atmosphere that deserved the healing of the body of the Church in the Middle East, with the aim of addressing the many current challenges.
