On August 21, 2022, Michel Kassarji the bishop of the Chaldean church of Lebanon went to Baghdad to participate in the convening of the Chaldean Synod at the Chaldean Patriarchate.
The meeting was headed by Cardinal saint Louis Raphael Sako and the Chaldean bishops in Iraq and abroad, and it includes his administrative and liturgical also the spread of the deployment and the priestly institute in Ainkawa – Erbil, the status of the legal right of the Chaldean Church, and other issues.
