After the forced closure due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the St. Thomas the Apostle Educational Center of the Chaldean Diocese of Beirut started again to pursue its educational mission with Iraqi and Syrian students, with various subjects.

The new start coincided with the Resurrection of Our Savior, and was manifested in the Easter celebration through the “Zoom” application, where students and teaching staff participated in decorating the colored eggs symbolizing the Resurrection.

Today, the St. Thomas the Apostle Educational Center continues teaching through the “Zoom” application to keep pace with students, in partnership between the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), the Italian ICU Foundation and the Chaldean Diocese of Beirut, represented by the Chaldean Charitable Society in Lebanon, which work to develop the educational center to provide all educational services, as well as moral and psychological support, especially towards the Iraqi and Syrian brothers who sought refuge in Lebanon in search of safety, tranquility and peace for them and their children.

Consequently, this solidarity work between the ICU and the diocese constitutes a nucleus for planting smiles and hope in the hearts of students and their families.

The Chaldean Diocese of Beirut thanks all the persons contributing to the success of this educational project, especially the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), the team of the Italian ICU Foundation represented by the project director Mrs. Camilla Rebora, and the Chaldean Charitable Society in Lebanon represented by its president, Mrs. Fabienne Hakim, and wishes them, the students and their families a glorious Resurrection feast.
