On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Diocese premises in Baabda, Bishop Michel Kassarji, Primate  of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon , met with the staffs of the Beirut Chaldean Diocese and the Our Lady of the Divine Mercy Center in Baouchrieh, in the presence of Monsignor Raphael Traboulsi, Father Youssef Khaled, Deacon Raphael Koupaly and the Chaldean nuns working in Lebanon. After a Christmas prayer, Bishop Kassarji addressed a word of congratulations to all those present and shared lunch with them.

In the evening, His Excellency also met with a delegation from the Polish state and the Foundation “Support the Church in Need” headed by Father Woldemar Sislo. He presented to his visitors the needs of the Chaldean Church in Lebanon and the fields of its service with the Iraqi refugee brothers, in the presence of Messrs. Tony Nissi and Abdo Haddad.

His Excellency has a televised interview on the Polish Catholic TV, during which he called for the help of the Polish people, to join forces, to contribute to the rescue of the Iraqi refugees in Lebanon and to ease their tragedies and distress.
